Hello, I use windows xp on a laptop computer. It has run fine and all till
one day it just stopped working. I get the blue screen of death with this
error message:

STOP: c000021a {fatal system error] The windows Logon Process system process
terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

I cannot get any farther. When it first boots I try pressing F8 and have
tried safe mode and safe mode with command prompt with no luck. I have also
tried last known good configuration. I don't use this computer all the time
and cannot recall doing anything different with it expect maybe applying a
windows update last time I used it. I can't really do much here so any help
is appreciated. Thank you!

I believe the problem with the blue screen is caused by a memory failure, by corruption or overheating of ur systems memory. I could be wrong since i dont' know much about computers, but it could also be a problem with kernel32.exe, as i used to have such problems when i had windows 98 on another computer where the memory is pretty much shot. Thats ram memory in case u have to question that.
