When I click a link on a website to email someone I get like 40 Explorer
screens to open and then it says it cannot do it. The error says something
about Windows Mail not being properly installed.

I have redone all the associatitions and made the checks in program settings
of IE. All is set as it should be and still it does this, HELP

Press WinKey+R
Type: regedit
Press <Enter>
In the left pane navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto
In the right pane create a new string value named
URL Protocol
It doesn't need to have any data.
Exit regedit and restart the machine.

Type or paste the following command in the Start search bar and hit Enter:

"C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe" OCInstallReinstallOE

(include the quote marks).
Then reboot.
