cannot access protected files

C

Craig Wallis

Some of my windows files became corrupt and I could not use Windows. I
bought a new hard drive and installed everything and now everything works
fine. I designated my old drive as a slave drive in order to recover some
important files and documents. Unfortunately, the "owner" files are password
protected and I am being denied access.
How can I remove the password or at least access the files to copy them onto
my new hard drive?

Hiii, I dont think u can use encrypt feature on the profile folder. you must
be simply getting access is denied. To fix this:

Go to folder options from explorer tools menu scroll down & deselect "enable
simple sharing"

Now go to locked out files rightclick properties security tab will appear
go,

Then go to advanced option select owner, now select "replace owner on
subcontainers and objects" and enter this will replace ownership and give u
full control .

Remember depending on number of files in ur secured folder the process will
take some time to replace all permissions.

Hope this helps...,
