I want to save hard disk space and was wondering if I can delete Office 2000
if I installed Office 2003 form disk and not upgrade.

Not sure what you are asking here. Of course you will save disc space if you
only have one Office version installed.

I was asking if I can delete Office 2000 because I don't know if 2003 builds
off of 2000. My computer tells me that 2000 is used often. I installed 2003
from a disk but I don't know enough about the programming to know if I will
loose anything if I delete Office 2000. My email address is
(e-mail address removed) if you want to reply directly.

Thank you for you help.

No version of Office "builds on" another, but upgrade editions do require
that a previous edition be installed (or at least that you have the
installation media handy) in order to verify that you have a previous
version. Once Office 2003 is installed, then you can certainly uninstall
Office 2000, though I'm surprised you didn't just install Office 2003 over
Office 2000. The only thing (that I know of) that you might miss is
Microsoft Photo Editor, but you can reinstall just that from your Office
2000 disks if you have them.
