Camera works, but microphone doesn't pick up

I have a Logitech Quickcam 4000 that has the microphone
included. Microphone picks up fine with Logitech
software. Messenger camera works fine but microphone
doesn't pick up. Please help.
 
You want to use the sound card for your audio, get a mic and connect there.
Not the camera mic.
