Whenever I use apps like Movie maker, etc. It usually closes on me and gives
the 'sorry for the inconvenience, but -program name here- is experiencing
problems and needs to close' and it prompts u to send an error report. Well I
checked the technical report, and the main file included (which I deem the
problemed one I guess) is called
"C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\a35e_appcompat.txt", now Iv'e gotten this
for a few other programs, and it becomes more frequent, aswell- explorer
keeps closing whenever I try to browse a few files. Please help me- I'd
really appreciate it!!

If the above didn't help have a look in the Event Viewer and see if there
are any Error Messsages that can shed some light on the causer.
To access the Event Viewer do the following:
Open a Run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK]
On the Event Viewer double click the Error Messages (X) to get more info and
you can copy and paste in your next message.

Try this: right click My Computer and choose "Manage." Click Event
Viewer. Double-click "Application." You should see a red icon in the
list. If you double-click that, you get a box with a link to the error
message in the Microsoft Knowledge base (if you're lucky). Sometime this
can help you find the solution.
