Hi,
The Language bar is displayed automatically if you install a text service
such as handwriting, speech, or an Input Method Editor (IME). However, if
you close the Language bar, you can use this procedure to redisplay it.
To show the Language bar (using Classic view in Control Panel):
Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and
Language Options.
On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click
Details.
Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
Select the Show the Language bar on the desktop check box.
When this option is checked only then the rest of the greayed options in
language bar settings get enabled.
To Turn Text Services On or Off:
To turn text services on or off (using Classic view in Control Panel):
Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and
Language Options.
On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click
Details.
Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
To turn text services off, select the Turn off advanced text services check
box.
To turn text services on, clear the check box.
Click Yes if you are prompted to confirm your selection.
This specifies whether advanced text services, including handwriting
recognition, speech recognition, East Asian keyboard input services, and
accessibility options, are turned on or off. Select the check box to turn
off the advanced text services. Clear the check box to turn them back on.
Use this option to turn off text services temporarily when you are not
using them. Text services require computer resources and can affect
performance. Be sure only those languages and text services you use are
listed under Installed services. Remove any services you don't use.
