bsplproc.exe ??

Hi folks,

I had a printer working fine with my Windows XP Home
edition laptop, and now today it's giving a strange error:

"bsplproc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

I've tried reinstalling the printer driver, rebooting
everything, and so on.

Any insight or suggestions would be much appreciated!

PS
Would a fresh Windows XP Home re-install perhaps solve
this problem, and can it be done without losing everything
on the hard drive?

This file is not a Microsoft file. What type of printer do you have?

Did you do a complete uninstall and reinstall as per
