Suddenly cant connect to 3310

My HP 3310 is wirlessly connected to my home network on which I have
an XP MCE desktop and and XP PRO laptop. Everything has been working
up to yesterday.

Suddenly the desktop machine cannot connect to the printer, I get the
message "the print spooler was unable to connect to the printer. This
can be caused by your printer being turned off (it isnt), the cable
being uplugged (no cable - it's wireless) or being connected to a VPN
which will block access to your local network (no VPN that I am aware
of)"

Trying the scanner from the desktop results in the message "hpscnvw
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience" . How helpful

Now I can print from my laptop ok which says to me that the printer is
all good. The desktop Printers and Faxes window shows the 3310 as
"ready", and I cant discover what might be the problem.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem. HP3310 wireless printer works with 2 desktops
running XPhome sp2, but not a third desktop also with XPhome sp2. All worked
fine until yesterday. I stopped and started the print spooler service,
checked other services for dependancies, and rebooted many times. no luck.
HP web site says to start & stop spooler, then set spool data format to RAW
instead of EMF. Mine were all RAW before I looked at the settings. I havent
tried scanning. I get the same 'unable to connect' message when attempting
to print from #3 computer.
Any ideas? Thanks
Clarke (another one..)
