Browser is opening up half screen

Hi ya'll,
I don't consider myself a novice nor an expert but I've
gone through all of the "normal" options and can't figure
out a solution to this. When I open IE, it opens up all
the way horizonally but only halfway vertically. Yeah,
easy fix, I know, just hit the maximize but still. How do
I correct this? It's only been within the last couple of
days. Your help is appreciated.

BTW, that's not c0x ya know, just trying to stay away from
the spam bots.

Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.
