Browser Freezes when I click on "file"

My Browser locks up every time I click on file. I have to
go to task manager to shut it down and relaunch. All other
features work normally. Does anybody know how to fix this?
 
Check this key in the registry. Is the value other the 1 or 0 (zero)?

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Set the DWORD "NoFileMenu" to 0 or remove that value from the registry
completely. A value of 1 suppresses the list.
