Browser crashes when I use media player!

I have been trying to watch streaming footage from the
internet via windows media player. This worked fine until
I ran spyware removal software. Now all I get is an error
screen and browser closes. Please contact me if there is
a solution as this is very annoying!!!

does it crash if you use the media player as a stand-alone?
