BOOTUP AND INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

HELP!!!!

MOST OF MY FILES WERE DELETED FROM MY HARD DRIVE,SO I
BOORROWED A 98XP INSTALLATION DISC TO RE-INSTALL WINDOWS
98 ON MY COMPUTER. BUT IT STILL WON'T START THE WINDOWS
OPERATING SYSTEM. IT LOCKS UP WITH A BLANK SCREEN...
I'VE TRIED SEVERAL THINGS BUT HAVE CAME UP EMPTY HANDED
FOR DAYS NOW. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

There is no such thing as "98XP"
There is Windows 98 from the year 1998 and Windows XP from the year
2001.

You can not borrow Windows if it is installed on another computer
since the license for consumers is only one computer at a time.

Also please do not post in ALL CAPS in newsgroups.
ALL CAPS is considered shouting and rude.
