I am having problems booting a Windows 2000 sp4 machine. Since attempting
to install a digital camera the PC will not complete booting. The machine
will get to a blue background screen with a cursor, just before the
ctrl+alt+del login thing pops up, and then just restarts. It will continue
this in a loop. I am able to get into safe mode. The device and software
for it have been deleted, but it made no difference. Any ideas?? Thanks...

During bootup have you tried Booting From Last Known Good
Configuation??

Yes, I have tried this and it still did the same thing. Any more ideas?

Since you can start in Safe Mode, the problem is caused by
something that loads in Normal Mode but won't load in Safe
Mode. Do this:

- Remove all non-essential adapters (e.g. Sound, network), then
try again.
- If this does not work then start in Safe Mode and disable your
startup tasks. You can identify them with one of the following
tools:
* msconfig.exe (from the WinXP CD)
* AutoRuns from http://www.sysinternals.com
* StartupCPL: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
