Boot error

This machine had XP Pro w/SP2 installed approx 2 weeks ago afterwhich one of
my users ran the Automatic Update and now rcv's the following error:

The procedure entry point SHCreateThreadRF could not be located in the
Dynamic Link Library SHLWAPI.DLL

Clicking OK gets me to an emply desktop. I checked out Article 829786 and
copied a set of DLL files fm the XP CD to the System32 directory but that
didn't solve the problem.

Any ideas?
