Bookmarks

I'm trying to creat a bookmark. When I highlight/select text, then go to
insert bookmark, the entire page gets highlighted/blacked out and my bookmark
box is grayed out at the top (where you'd put the name) and the "OK" button.
What is happening? How do I fix it? Thanks!

Don't highlight text. A bookmark, unlike other tags, doesn't cover any
region or area. It's simply a single spot on the page. Try resting the
cursor on the line you'd like the bookmark and use the insert bookmark then.

Highlight the text and then click Insert > Bookmark.

I tried that. The whole page still became "highlighted" (blacked out), but I
could put in the name of the bookmark and hit okay. Once I hit okay, however,
the entire page changed to the hyperlink look -- blue and underlined. Help!
Do I have some funky code doing something somewhere? Thanks!

Or just open code view. At the point where you want a bookmark, enter the
code:

<a name="BOOKMARK 1"></a>

Example:

<p><a name="BOOKMARK 1"></a> Bookmark This!</p>
