FP2003: Just question-how to print piece of big page?

T

Trish

I have a large page (htm) that contains a handbook. I
use bookmarks to allow selecting desired sections quickly.
I want to be able to print the entire document from the
File Menu and this all works just fine.
I'm trying to figure out how to print just from one
bookmark to the next bookmark of the large Page file.
I can use the bookmark link to select the correct
starting position but how do I limit the print end to
stop at the next bookmark in the large page?
I've been trying different approaches but none have
worked so far. If anyone out there has done this
and has the time to respond I'd really appreciate the
help. This is NOT a major problem... it's just annoying
because I can't seem to figure it out.
P.S. I don't know html but I can follow directions if any-
one has any suggestions that I could try to make
work?

I would suggest containing each section of your document in a
separate HTML file. Display the full document by including each of
these files. Then when you print, print whichever individual file you
wish.

I know it's not a clean method, but I think it will work.

Thanks, Stefan, for letting me know so I can stop wasting
test time trying to do it the way I was going.
Thanks, Helpful Person, for giving me a work around.
I need to think about this some more.
You folks are really good at this stuff.

There is another option you may be able to use. (I don't know if this
is possible, other people will be able to tell you.)

If you can remove and attach CSS files to a page in real time then
there is a fairly simple solution. When the user clicks to print a
part of the document, remove the print CSS file that is presently
attached to the page and attach one that only prints the section of
interest.
