Hello Andy

PC3200 is DDR400 Memory ...

... as 2100=266 & 2700=333 ... so yes to your question.

If your going to "OverClock" your system, then can I point you to Corsair XMS3500 CAS2 DDR Memory ... yep PC3500, confused yet? ;)

This will explain better

Stick with a branded memory and not an unknown, watch out for KingMAX ... it works, but has had problems.

lol I think I get it. :)

not built a system for a while. am i right in ssuming that the processor and memory can run at different speeds:)

i.e. the 2200+ is a 333 processor and is able to run with 400 memory.

as ict support i should get my head around this.

p.s. glad i found this site.

Your welcome

2200+ is a 333 processor
err, Nope ... The 2200+ Thoroughbred has an internal clock frequency of 1800 MHz but the “Bus Clock” of 266 MHz

Suffice to say that your MSI will run an AMD 2200 & 400 DDR ram with no problems ... and ... the BIOS will "see" it all. :D

Good game so far, yes. ;)

No problem Andy, my wife say's I'm always wrong

Hmmm, well, my personal favourites are nVidia and a GForce4 (I have the MX440 at the moment) ... but I think Flopps favours ATI.

Just do a search on www.google.com for any reviews.

If you see any you like give us a shout and we'll look it over for any known issues. ;)

At the moment the ATI Radon 9xxx is the better card and the price is not that much more than the Nvidia cards.

All IIRC of course
