blue screen of death

I just put a new DVD-R (AOpen) optical drive in my
computer. Everything seemes to be working fine until I
turn off my computer and I get the Blue Screen that pops
up. It tells me that the problem has something to do with
a new driver on my computer. I can't find any other
drivers to go with this drive.

did you load any software with this new drive?
Any messages in the event viewer?
(eventvwr.msc from the RUN box)

I installed the DVD burning software that came with the

burner. That's about it. As for the event viewer I don't
know a thing about it.
