Hi All! What a wonderful place for info! thank you in advance. Please HELP!
One of my issues is when on line, the system stops and goes on to the fatal
blue screen with the following error (part of the message); i then have to
reboot. The last time it happened, I was typing an email response. I
remember happening during livemail a couple of times now, but cannot say for
sure if it has happened while on other programs:

STOP: OX0000008E, OXC0000005, OXBF8206E8, OXEC5AAAEC, OX00000000

Wink32k.sys, address: BF8206E8
base at BF800000
base stamp 47badb5

thank you

Just out of curiosity, is Wink32k.sys a typo? Should it be win32k.sys?

If that's the case you might want to look at this earlier thread. It suggests
testing your RAM.

http://groups.google.com/group/micr...ead/thread/799c04b8aff752be?hl=en&tvc=2&fwc=2

If that doesn't fix the problem take a look at some of the other hits returned
by Google. It looks like you've got a lot of company with that problem and no
"one size fits all" solution.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=+STOP:+OX0000008E+Win32k.sys&btnG=Search

One thing I'd suggest is trying to start your computer if Safe Mode and see if
the system blue screens. Restart your computer and keep hitting the F8 key until
you see the menu where you can use the up arrow key to select Safe Mode. If the
problem doesn't happen in Safe Mode, it could indicate a problem with your
display adapter.

Good luck
