Blast Virus

After Blast virus i'm getting *.msi installation error on
many program load in my machine. It ask for a .msi install
and attempt to install asking for an application msi file
and upon giving it what it ask, it goes in a loop of say
msi file not found. how can i fix this.
 
Did you start getting the error after the virus, or after downloading
patches from Microsoft? I ran into a similar issue with downloading patches
on machines which had never done any Windows Updates and required the Office
XP disk upon opening IE, Outlook, Word, or Excel.

Check the install disk for the application it is requesting, and see if the
MSI it wants is on there. If so, you're probably safe.
