Unable to uninstall Norton Anti-Spam

I am running win2Kpro and I have noton anti-spam loaded and anti-virus
running. I was under a virus attack a few weeks ago and one got in that has
effected my anti-spam. I have removed the virus from the computer however I
notice that there seemed to be damage to my Norton programs. I remove my
anti-virus program and reinstalled it. When I tried to uninstall my anti
spam program I couldn't. I then tried to run the installation disk thinking
that I could install over the old installation however the program to
install will not start at all. When I try and install it from the exe file
on the disk it still won't install I get an error msg that the MSI program
needs to be running. I have tried to reload MSI but have been unsuccessful.
I have tried to uninstall the program from directions on the anti spam web
site and that doesn't work. I have tried to uninstall in safe mode and that
dosen't work.

Is there another way to uninstall by deleting files and regestry values?

I s there a way to reset my msi setting so that it will run the installation
for the program?

First You can try to get more info on the type of MSI error:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;193845
Check in the Services Applet, is Windows Installer running? Can you
stop/start it?
Do you have any errors in your Event Viewer that relate?
What SP do you have loaded?
You could also check Norton's Web Site I am sure they will have instructions
on how to manually remove their programs.
