got this message the other day-Consider BIOS upgrade

could not find the info I was looking for.
upgraded to Pentium4 2.39 GHz months ago and have had no problems until
now. Any suggestions?

Had the same message on my comp.

find out your motherboard number( look on the board itself for a label), go
to the maker's website, find the latest bios and download , get a copy of the
awardflash utility, create a XP start-up floppy disk, put the bios and the
awardflash utility on it , boot from the floppy(by changing the boot order in
the bios), then run the awardflash executable.

google the parts of this you don't follow.

You *must* make sure you have the right bios update for YOUR motherboard
otherwise *big* problems.

sorry, another thing is your comp might use ami bios rather than award bios.
