What type (manufacturer = Dell, Compaq) of computer do you
own?

Generally, F8, F10 or Delete is the key to press when
booting your machine. Computer is off, tuen it on and
immediately start pressing whichever key is for your
machine. You may have to try it three times until it
works. During the BIOS boot, it should tell you - hit *.*
key for Setup.

Old Compaq machines used F10 and earlier used Delete. Its
one of three.

Good luck.

One thing I've done before when I don't know right off hand how to get to
the BIOS is to simply lay on the keyboard while it's booting. Often times
that will generate a keyboard error in the BIOS and prompt you to enter the
BIOS setup.
