Hello,
The site is also not saying that ALL Muslims/Arabs are Nazis -
just that there is a historical connection. For proof that the
site is not anti-Muslim/Arab, check out this page (which doesn't
appear to be on the home page since they started redesigning it
- I will email them):
http://www.somebodyhelpme.info/righteous/righteous.html

The second sentence on start page is "The Arabs/Muslims act like
Nazis because they are Nazis!" - maybe they don't want to defame
all muslims, but they do so. Hiding something on deeper pages
does not help...

I just got mail from webmaster there, saying he'll remove this
misleading sentence. Good move.

And I don't say, that there was no "historical connection" (I
don't really know), I just say, that any kind of religion does
not fit into "Third Reich", none of the arabic collaborators
would meet the aryan racial policies (even if there are some
common roots in theory)*. Hitler made several coalitions to
establish his fatal vision, just to cancel it later for his
own benefit. Take his pact with Stalin as example, followed by
an massive attack against Soviet Union (June 22 1941).

That maybe there are still muslim people to appeal on Nazis is
just stupid. The correct term for what they stand for may be
fascism.

Regards,
Thorsten

Thorsten;

The purpose of somebodyhelpme.info is to provide source material,
opinion pieces and citations that can be used to strengthen religious
and political ties between the US-Christians and Israel-Jews. This
includes providing source material and citations that are used to weaken
ties between the US and Muslim communities.

Somebodyhelpme.info was created, is financed and provided content by an
American fundamentalist christian by the name of Ken Crowell. His life
work is to spread a certain brand of "christianity" which emphasizes
Armageddon and the "Second Coming" as referred to in the christian book
of "Revelations." A more thorough examination follows if you're so
inclined.

Somebodyhelpme.info is a site that is financed and run through a company
called Galtronics(1). Galtronics builds communications gear(2) and
counts Motorola as a major client. Galtronics was founded by former
Motorola employee Ken Crowell and is headquartered in Tiberias, Israel.
Currently, Galtronics has design and/or production facilities in the
US, UK, Sweden, China and Taiwan.(3)

Mr. Crowell is an alum of Multnomah Bible College(MBC). MBC is a
fundamentalist "college" located in Oregon(4). Mr. Crowell moved to
Tiberias, Israel as a christian missionary with MBC's blessings. Since
Israel actively discourages missionaries, Crowell's idea was to start a
company as a kind of cover(5), while doing missionary work and
conversion activities.(6)

Crowell's life work centers around his faith(7). Crowell and MBC have
as a tenet of their faith that Armageddon (as referred to in
Revelations) will start in Megiddo(8) which neighbors Tiberias.
According to MBC doctrinal interpretations, Armageddon will necessarily
involve the Jews and Muslims. Therefore, any attempts at treaties,
negotiations, etc are seen as either futile, obstructionist or both.
Similarly, many fundamentalists believe they can help accelerate the
start of Armageddon. I don't know if Crowell or MBC holds that belief.

Ken Crowell has also founded the following companies in Israel:
Galtronics (antennae), Galcom (radios), Galadon (communion products),
Galilee Experience (multimedia), Galilee of the Nations (music), and
Megavoice (voice storage). All are for-profit concerns with
proselytization as a core "heritage."(9)

Although I was not able to find a link between MBC and
somebodyhelpme.info, Crowell's company employs any number of MBC alum.
Crowell's company continues to finance, provide labor & content for
somebodyhelpme.info.

Sounds like a real sick bastard, Crowell, that is, maybe God has a plan,
but shit heads like this guy are more than happy to help it along. Here I
thought that the Puritans burned the last witch a couple of hundred years
ago, guess I haven't figured out all this multicultural diversity yet..

GW;

There are too many fundamentalists who share Ken Crowell's views for me
to write them off as sick. I'd rather find points in common and work
with them since we ignore them at our peril.

But my post isn't intended to address that. It was meant to make overt
that which was covert: The purpose and origins of somebodyhelpme.info.
When people such as Curt try to defend this doctrinal crap as "fair,"
it's important to raise a warning. Perhaps he and I can find common
ground in promoting freeware however.

The "originals" are simply a mixture of stories.

Written, in the case of the OT, in Hebrew and, in the case of the NT,
in Greek.

We're discussing languages, not whether the bible is fact or fiction.
Also, just because someone writes in Hebrew it doesn't follow that
what they write is the truth.

Who said anything about truth? I was addressing the (totally
erroneous) claim that the OT was translated from Hebrew.

Nazis because they are Nazis!" - maybe they don't want to defame

does not help...

Anyone who confuses Arabs and Muslims so readily can't be considered a
credible source. There are many Arabs who aren't Moslem and many
Moslems who aren't Arabs.

It is my understanding that the OT was translated into Greek The
Septuagint ("LXX") is the name commonly given in the West to the Koine
Greek Alexandrine text of the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh/Old Testament)
produced some time between the third to first century BC. Manuscript
copies of the Septuagint are the oldest and most important complete
version of the Old Testament and until the discovery of the Dead Sea
Scrolls predated the Hebrew, or Masoretic, manuscripts texts by as much
as 1,000 years..

Does any of the postings here relate to Machintosh??

Hey Jimmy;

It's pretty rare that we see a post requesting freeware for Apple
products. Btw, when you say Macintosh, do you mean pre-OSX specifically?

-Craig

Yes, but the OT was translated into Latin from Greek, not from Hebrew.

The original claim is that the original OT was translated from Hebrew
- it was written in Hebrew, not translated from it. Considering a
translation, Greek or English, as *THE* OT, isn't even wrong.

Yes. I was among the first to point this out.
