BCM Installed? NOT! or is it? Where is it hiding?

Two years ago I purchased:
Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2

I use Windows XP

I have been very disapponted that I wasn't ever able to get Business Contact
Mangager to work. I've made several attempts at installing it over the past
couple of years. I've given up, installed Act! 2005, but hate it!

In frustration I was searching the Microsoft site and was thrilled to
discover the recently released Microsoft Office BCM UPDATE. I downloaded it,
installed it, rebooted the computer but can't find it through my Outlook
program. ( I do not find "BUSINESS TOOLS" in the Outlook toolbar.)

If I go to START, MY COMPUTER, LOCAL DISK, and PROGRAM FILES, I can locate a
"ENABLE BCM" icon. When I click on it it states ""BCM is already enabled...
must restart." When I restart, there is still nothing I can find in
Outlook. I have gone through this cycle three times. I feel VERY STUPID
that I can't figure out what I am supposed to.

I look forward to your help and suggestions. With Appreciation, Rick

You can try this - Click on File, Data File Management. Click on the Add
button. Is Business Contact Manager Database mentioned there? If so, then
click it and follow the instructions to create a database. Hope this
helps....

Thank you, Bob, for your reply.

I went to Data File Management and did not find Busines Contact Manager
Database. I clicked ADD and saw 3 options, including BCM. I double-clicked
BCM and added it.

I found that I could name the file.

How do I open it? Where do I access it? There is still no BUSINSS TOOLS
tab on Outlook's toolbar. I can't find any hint of it.

Rick,

Go into Outlook, Help, About Outlook, then Disabled Items... Think that will
fix it...

Pat-

Bingo!

I followed your instructions and found BCM in Disabled Items. After
Enabling and rebooting, everything seems to be there. I look forward to
getting started. Thank you for your help!
