Could not get BCM to install w/2010 Beta and no one from MSFT would respond
to posting on 2010 Beta Forum, so after 45 days of no response reinstalled
Office Pro 2007.

So far I've
Completely uninstalled Office Beta, ALL Sql Server apps, Business
Connectivity App and MSFT Small Business.

Reinstalled Office Pro 2007. Install of BCM for Outlook 2007 stops install
and says look at MBSsetuptmp(nnnn).logs in theAppData temp folder. There are
4 log files, 3 of which are numerous pages in length. At the end of the
install failure there is no SQL Server nor BCM file folder created on system.

I've followed the steps in Troubleshoot installing Business Contact Manager
for Outlook 2007 (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HP011128601033.aspx)
to no avail.

I think Office 2010 Beta corrupted a number of registry files related to
Outlook, BCM and SQL server now preventing BCM for 2007 to install.

Need some expert advice here as MSFT support page will not allow me to get
through to MSFT tech support even tbough 2010 Beta created this problem to
begin with.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Can you share a copy of the error and the log when installing Business
Contact Manager 2007

Also are you able to install a standalone version of SQL Express 2005 ?

Raul: 3 of the 4 logs produced I estimate at ~20 pages in length, don't think
I can paste them here? I didn't try SQL Express 2005 standalone as SQL server
is bundled in the BCM installation files. I still suspect office 2010 beta
installation .exe corrupted registry files when it uninstalled my original
BCM 2007 and tried and failed to install BCM 2010 Beta.

How do I get the logs to you...perhaps as attachment files?

Raul: sent the logs a few days ago. Over the weekend I downloaded SQL server
Express from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2a-4090-4431-acdd-9a1c832e65a6&displaylang=en
It installed but could not find MSSMLBIZ (there is a .inf file under Windows
directory, I also have an image of that file saved on a backup drive from
before the attempt to download 2010 Beta, that started this problem)

Tried to start SQL Server service but it would not start. Checked it's
dependencies and COM+ System Application is one and couldn't get it started
(tried local service returns error 1297...and local system returns error
1053...log on settings...Wonder if install issues w/ Off Pro/BCM 2010 Beta
changed the the registry settings for this service...is there a way to check
its registry settings?

Thank you

I have recently done the same thing and have been spending a lot of time
trying to get this to work. Also, I am having problems sending emails from
mail merge from word. I am interested in solution.
