i have been having a problem with my Xp boot-up. After it gets to the WinXP logo, the screen goes black and the system hangs for approx 2 minutes. I found it may have been previous Audio drivers i had for my Herclues Audio card(cmedia) but have since been using my onbaord sound and the problem has just returned. This has been causing my PC to become unstable and i have been getting a lot of explorer crashes. I have Formatted and reinstalled a number of times and yet i am still getting the same problem. I have SP1 installed and all my drivers are up to date. If anyone knows of this problem your help would be gratefully appreciated.

have you configured your computer bios correctly for the sound card?
