Backup MyPC 5.0 and XP Pro

After upgrading from version 4.85 to version 5.0 of Backup My PC (Stomp),
the program starts with the splash screen followed with 'report to
Microsoft' error and then quits.

Anyone using XP successful in updating to 5.0?

i got further than you. program loads and backs up to hdd or cd if no
compression is set. use compression and get in verification compression
mismatch errors. i ran one backup to cd-r's 7 disks no compression ok.
same backup to 2 dvd-r's no compression ok bothe verified. i also have 20
coasters for using compression. stomp support balmes it on media[ i used
four brands all failed on compression, all worked no compression]on device
firmware[used 2 cd burners and i dvr burner and manuf. site say latest
firmware]. etc. to rest of support answer. program has bugs and they will
not admit it.
