Backup don't work

I'm trying to use the backup in System Tools, but no matter what I do, it
won't take the file name. I'm trying to back up to a DVD+R (yes it's a DVD
writer) and no matter what I change the file name to it just won't take it.
Anyone know what's going on? Here's the steps I take:

1. Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Backup
2. Choose the Wizard.
3. Select the files I want to back up.
4. Browse to the DVD writer, and type in Backup 03-13-2007
5. Click on Next and then this is where I get that message that it cannot
use that name. I'be tried using just Backup, without the date, but that
don't work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two things........XP does not write to DVD's you need a 3rd party program to
do this
XP backup does not write directly to DVD/CD you
would need to back up to HD and then burn the file to DVD/CD
