Windows 10 DVD Writer not working

Does anyone know. why DVD writer cant enable the device manager ?


if i try to enable the driver automatically going to disable the feature.......

Welcome, It might be dead? Bad cable?

Try the drive in another machine or try a different drive in your machine would be my 1st steps. DVD drives are cheap as chips.

no dude, but the DVD drive working perfect in windows 7, XP

i thought the DVD driver not working in windows 10. Microsoft should release the compatible drives.

this device is disabled. (code 22) DVD drive.


this is the error code 22.i did already what you gave the following steps. when i tried ti enable the drive. its automatically going to disabled. and Check this link http://www.lg.com/hk_en/optical-storage/lg-GH24 the LG vendor saying only support Win 7, XP, Vista.

Hmmm, that's a bugger. Well as I said given that DVD drives are peanuts these days I'd just grad a new one, is this a desktop or a laptop?

... use Windows Compatibility Mode, set it to Win7

right-click the drive and go from there.

Good idea, I didn't even think of Compat mode. :blush:

this is a desktop not a laptop and i tried many ways to fix this issue, i got it one point this kind of version DVD drive could not support Windows 10.

thank you for suggestions.

New drive it is then, as I said earlier, they're cheap as chips.
