avg install reinstall

In installed avg 6 personal edition a while ago and uninstalled it because
of perceived incompatibilities with Pegasus. It appeared that AVG detected
a virus in every pegasus message.

On reinstall that problem has disappeared but I fear I may have done
something wrong because the opening menus is different than before. Now the
four options for run or not run are not there and from anything evidenct on
outgoing mail the program may not be scanning email. Any tips?

What is the name of the other freeware anti virus program??? any tips or
help would be appreciated it.

I am going to subsribe to pegasus and anti virus groups to see what their
take on it is. Trouble is I don't know how to "cross" post on outlook
express.
