AutoSearch Problem in IE6 SP1

Mike Calderon

No matter what service I choose to run a search from the address bar
(Autosearch), it always does a search using NetZero's Yahoo search page.
Any ideas how I can correct this situation?

I have already attempted to repair/reinstall IE6 SP1

Thank you

I saw this suggestion in a previous posting and had already tried it. It
did not work at that time, nor when I tried it again just now. Any other
suggestions?

Mike,

Not sure if Netzero had installed a plugin in IE. You can spot it using Toolbarcop.

Using ToolbarCop to remove the unwanted Toolband, Toolbar Icons and BHO:

And, if you have tried reset web-settings, it uses the iereset.inf. In case it's cyustomized for Netzero, there is not point trying that. The REG fix might do the trick in most cases.
