Adjust CD-ROM AutoPlay
Right-click the CD-ROM drive in Windows Explorer (or My Computer), and
select Properties.
Select the AutoPlay tab.
Now you can select your AutoPlay preferences according to the type of
content.

CD-Rom Stops Auto-playing
Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services/Shell Hardware Detection/Return
this service to Automatic.
If that is not the case then:-
Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet\Services\Cdrom
AutoRun = 1

You can also open Windows Explorer, right click your CD-ROM drive, select
Properties, go
to the AutoPlay tab, select the action to perform in each category and
remove the check from "Prompt me each time to choose an action," click apply
and ok.
