scanner lamp

the scanner lamp on my canon 660u will only turn off when i shut down the
computer. windows xp i can access the scanner time to off box but it does not
work.i have updated from 98 me to xp that is when the problem started.iloaded
drivers from canon and got everything else working. i have also closed
everything in the taskbar. thanks

You will need to ask them about it.

I dont believe there are any winxp drivers for your model, if there are any
they will be on canon site

On, off.... On, off... On, off...

You're right, some windows only scanners can be turned off outside of
windows.

If you can find one, try a Microtek Scanmaker X12 USL.
