Automatic Update popup window?

Alex

I turned off Automatic Update because I was tired of it popping up messages
that downloads were available. Now it pops up a message on startup that
tells me Automatic Update is off and my computer may be in danger. How do
I get it to stop sending that message?

Thanks

Alex

Thanks PA Bear I think you missed my point. I don't want to automatically
update and I don't want to have to turn click on messages that pop up in
order to make them go away. I don't trust Microsoft and their Big Brother
mentality. I can check and download update on my own and don't need them
babysitting me.

Hi Alex

Go to Control Panel > Security Center, then in the Resources panel on
the left click on Change the way Security Center alerts me.

In the box that pops up UN-check "Alert me if my computer might be at
risk because of my Automatic Updates settings" and click OK.

That should nail the pest :)
