automatic update in microsoft

my auto update is unavailable, I have used it to keep my
patches up to date, but for some reason it suddenly is
unavailable
any help will be appreciated
 
Go to START, Select RUN
Type: regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
Press Ok
Now check the Service Manager for "Automatic Update" service
