Automatic start up or being Hacked

Hi can anybody please explain to me as to why my PC switches on when my
telephone line rings. I have a dial up connection at present, and would like
to stop the computer from switching on.

Enter BIOS config,
have a look at 'Power Management Setup'
may be you can turn 'Power On by Ring' off.
