no autodial when starting internet explorer

When I would start IE7, the computer would automatically dial. It has stopped
now. I don't know why. It is set to always dial my default connection and LAN
always detect settings. I am sure it is just a setting, but I don't know
which one.

To configure autodial
Open Network Connections.
On the Advanced menu, click Dial-up Preferences.
On the Autodial tab, select the check box next to the location where you
want to enable autodial, and then click OK.
Notes

To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, and then
double-click Network Connections.
