Windows autodials at start up

I have tried everything and when I tried the Clear Boot, it was
Windows that started the Autodial. Yesterday I had the Network framework 1
sp 1 get auto installed as well as some advantage updates. I am NOT on a
Network, strictly a dial up. Auto dial is unchecked, I went to the registry
and tried to uncheck the autodial there and when I did, I was forced to
manual connect with my Browser. It was working fine until the latest updates.
Anyone know how to stop this other than the Microsoft Support kb? I tried all
on there and it didn't help. The last item on the support kb was the clear
boot and I did that and it still autodialed at startup.
By the way, when I did the final step on the MS kb which was the clear
boot, I lost all of my prior Restore Points. So I have no restore.
Another note. If I disconnect and then go to Seamonkey to go on line, it
will dial. Like I said all was fine before it did that Windows Framework
Service pack 1 update.

Only explanation that occurs to me is, you have a bot, trojan or
other malware that's trying to dial out on you. I doubt it has
anything to do with any windows activity. Watch your phone bills
for awhile, too.

Might be time to think about backing up and repairing or
reinstalling the os if you can't get rid of it.

Try disconnecting the modem and then look in Event Viewer to see
if there are any failures after startup. Just a thought.

It was gotten at the Microsoft website, if it is.
Clear Boot is suppose to stop all devices and applications from starting
at boot, other than Windows. When I did the clear boot, the Autodial still
happened whicjh clearly signals a Windows fault.
