Auto updates and scans

I can't find any info on whether scans and updates can work
when my computer is off, and if they don't, will they
automatically run when my computer is turned on.
Please help,

Your computer have to be ON
And the Administrador have to be log on.

When your computer is switched off, no scans or updates can take place.
They will only happen if your PC is powered on at the scheduled time.
Missed schedules are not caught up with at the next power-on.

No, you must be logged on as an Administrator for Microsoft AntiSpyware to
function and scan at scheduled times.
