Audio/video skipping after uploaded to Movie Moaker Vista

I have uploaded 4 very short (5 min. approx) video clips recorded to an 8gb
HD video card from my digital camera. When I play the clips back in movie
maker, the clips jump and skip. I am using an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC I
bought about 1.5 years ago and it came with Vista. I have had nothing but
trouble with this system and am very frustrated that doesn't seem to be as
easy to use as advertised. Also, The system won't recognize videos on mini
dvds recorded with my camcorder either. Thanks for your help.

Are you importing the 4 video clips directly
from the memory card? Try copying them to
a folder on your hard drive. Also...there may
be an issue with the format of the video clips.

The mini DVDs may require special software
that came with the camcorder. And maybe the
