audio/video preview problem

I just upgraded to WMM 2, but I was having this same problem in 1, hence the upgrade.

I'm trying to make a music video with clips from an .mpg file and a .wma audio file. I have imported the clips with no problem. They all play in the preview pane.

I added a title clip, the added the audio track to the audio line. No problems.

I add one clip, and it plays fine. But when I try to add another clip, it won't play in the preview pane. It says playing but I see nothing happening, no audio or video. Or the blue bar moves along the timeline, and the counter is moving up, but there's no video or audio.

If I go in the volume window on the .wma and move the bar even a fraction then it starts working until I add another clip. Then the same thing with no audio or video again.

Is this a codec problem? Or a source file problem?

Sounds like a codec issue. Maybe you are using MPEG2 files or Divx encoded
AVI files as source files.
