Audio portion of VCR input

I have spent more hours then necessary trying to input a VCR tape to my
computer through Windows Movie Maker but each time only the video portion is
captured. What is wrong with this system? How do I get the audio portion
captured along with the video portion?

Would you explain how you've been trying to do it.... VCR tapes are analog
and have to be imported using some analog capture device. What are you
using?

Hello there,

You are probably using a Video line into what ever converter you are
using....not all converters are equal....some will also carry the audio and
some say they carry the audio but a lot do not...so from the source device
(VCR, analog camera etc etc) connect the audio out to the LINE-IN in your
computers sound card. Then in Movie Maker ensure that the capture source for
the Audio is set to LINE-IN.

That should fix you up ok, if not please say so.

Some have had to plug the audio directly into the sound card instead of the
Dazzle 80.
