I recently faced an issue that might be worth adding to Knowledge Base:

Symptom 1: When installing Mcaffe or Norton Anti-Virus setup stalls at a
blank window.

Symptom 2: When opening User Accounts in Control Panel it fails and you get
an error. The Window title is Microsoft HTML Application Host and details
indicate that the two files at issue are mshta.exe and mshtml.dll.

Solution: Delete both files and replace with current versions of mshta.exe
and mshtml.dll. Unregester and re-regester mshtml.dll using regsvr32 after
the new file is in place.
