At what resolution should I take photos with my digital camera to.

I am using many photographs on my web page. I have a 5.0 pixel digital
camera. When I try to change the size of my photos to put in my tables as a
3x4 they are blurry. What should I set my camera at? How should I file them
into my computer so they are all the same size and clear?

it's not a camera function, you've got to "edit" the photos themselves
before you bring them into FrontPage and onto your page.

you'll want to crop them to isolate the subject, resize them to fit the
page, and "resample" them to make sure the file isn't too big.

You must maintain the aspect ratio so that the picture doesn't get
distorted. If you want to change the aspect ratio you must do so by
cropping the picture.

You don't have much room to work with since your camera
has only 5 pixels. You might want to trade it in on a 5
mega-pixel camera.

I generally take them at a very high resolution - so I can have a good,
large print of the picture if I want it. Then I take it into Photoshop (any
good editing program will work) and change the size to a 5"X3", 100 dpi,
medium compressed jpeg file for inclusion to my websites. The 5"X3" is only
approximate as I have it set to maintain the ratio of height & width - I
set the larger of the 2 to 5".

It's much better to work with dimensions using pixels rather than inches.
500 pixels wide for horizontal and 450 tall for verticle is a good place to
start. .... But you need to plan your pages carefully to know just exactly
the dimensions you'll need for your images.... and then place them within
table cells etc.

Shoot high res, transfer to computer - keeping it high res as you work with it. Work in non-lossy file format until you are happy with your result. Once you've got it color corrected, resized, optimized and ready to insert into web design,,,then save it as a .jpg (make sure you've worked with it in RGB workspace - not cmyk).

Then Import it into FP, and from within FP you will place it into your design.

Avoid using FP to manipulate images - including resizing!
