You may want to check out PlanPlus for Outlook, by Franklin Covey. It has a
bunch of stuff related to planning, goal-setting, focusing on what's most
important to you, etc., etc., kind of like a Franklin Covey seminar. But, I
like it because it integrates with Outlook - literally resides w/n Outlook
adding functionality to it. And because you can define "Projects" which, in
turn have a set of tasks under them (i.e. If your Project is to prepare for
trial, you might have individual tasks under that project in chronological
order, such as, Research, Shephardize, Write Brief, Confer with Client,
etc...). Each task can be individually assigned. You can also drag individual
tasks to the days you want to work on them (i.e. you can plan to work on
writing your brief on Tuesday, actually draggin it onto your calendar for the
times you want to work on it, w/o adjusting anything else about the project
or losing the brief's incorporation into the overall project). It's
unbelievable to me that Outlook doesn't do some of this stuff. FC has a
pretty good on-line demo on their website. You should check it out. I really
like it. My only struggle is that it doesn't operate w/n a Windows Server
environment. But, if you operate your Outlook directly on your PC, try it. It
also syncs its info to your PDA, together w/ Outlook. Good Luck. I think you
can download a 30+/- day trial for free to try it.
