sub-folders in tasks

We use sub-folders to keep tasks for individual projects separate. We have
to do this in order to be able to export only that folder to be send the the
project manager on a semi-weekly basis. However, the problem we have run
into is that the tasks in the sub folders do not generate reminders. The
tree looks like:
Tasks
-- project1
-- project2

etc. How do we get those tasks to pop up reminders? Or, is there a way to
export only those tasks assigned to a specific category, which would
eliminate the need for the sub-folders as we could separate the projects by
giving them categories.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using Outlook 2007, then reminders would also work for
subfolders.

Instead of using sub folder, you could also consider using categories. You
can then easily copy the contents of just a single category into an Excel
sheet.
