Anyone received Vista disks from Moduslink?

Mine was shipped on 19th March, it says carrier is Spring - has anyone ever
heard of them?! I am in the UK.

I did get another e-mail from them telling me they can't do it any
other way, I have to re-start the order. I have done that now and
will send copies of the documentation to them tomorrow.

Having seen this I tried to reorder but got the message
So I have sent them another message, hopefully they wil reply to this
one. I also have a problem with reordering in that they have already
had the fee for delivery and I do not intend to pay again
What I did
notice is that I was not given the option to upgrade to the 64bit
business version as I was the first time. I guess the 32bit version
is better than nothing. My AMD X2 64 bit cpu will not be happy. :-(

I doubt that your processor will be unhappy, the problem with the 64
bit version is that there is not a lot of software available that is
compatible with it.
They also told me that by applying at this time would not change the
delivery date: "Note that your order will be processed at
approximately the same time as all other orders for your manufacturer
received to date. This issue will not significantly impact the time
frame for delivery."

I guess custom built computers are at the bottom of the pile.

My order also said Spring was the carrier and on my package it mentions....

The postage was actually sent by Royal Mail 2nd class.

Mine was in November. With Microsoft making things this difficult to
get a product they are SELLING all they are doing is encouraging the
pirates. I can't believe how many times I have been offered a cracked
version of Vista Ultimate.

Wow and that's what I am paying £10.06 for - second class mail - there must
be a lot of wrapping to it to make it come to that!

Bill - I ordered on 13th Feb.
 
Got an email saying mine had been shipped today. The email stated to allow
"3 weeks for delivery"! When I checked status on their website it said it
was shipped by "Mail Express". Mail Express that takes 3 weeks - I wonder
how long "non-express" would take?

My order went in on 15th Dec and I have absolutely no sign of getting
it. All was well till the beginning of February when my order just
disappeared, I managed to get them to make it visible again, when it
was saying confirmed, then a couple of weeks later they asked for my
details and copies of forms again, and by the 24th feb I had an order
that said validated, and an e-mail promising delivery by now. A week
later the site said Order cancelled and again an e-mail managed to get
a response and the order said order received, and then when I
complained I got an e-mail asking me to reorder, so I sent the details
agin and asked how to reorder as I no longer have an upgrade form to
send and have already paid delivery. No reply, so I tried to reorder
but it refuses my upgrade form number.
What a saga, I will get there one way or another. Either that or
somebody will end up in the small claims court.

I had the same problem this week on the 3rd April 2007 I checked my order status on the Moduslink site and it informed me that my order was cancelled. I emailed there support and was told to place a new order and send them an email with the new order number and the cancelled order. I checked the new order and it says that the COA is Validated. I ordered my upgrade on the 3/1/07 with my office upgrade and I am still waiting.

It arrived today, 5th April, second class post, so what was the £10.06
charge for, they must pay their staff a lot to stuff the envelopes!

Now I have to think about upgrading!

I bought a new Toshiba Laptop Satellite P105-6104 January 15th, 2007 and
immediately filled out the forms for the Vista Home Premium upgrade I rated
for purchasing the laptop. Three days later I received an email saying my
order was received and processed and I should receive my CD in 4 to 6 weeks.
April 2nd I get an email from Moduslink:

Thank you for submitting your order for Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
CD/DVD OEM.

Your order has been shipped. You should receive your order within 3 weeks.
If you do not receive your order, please contact us via email
(e-mail address removed) by May 1, 2007, for English language versions of
the product and June 1, 2007, for non-English language versions of the
product so that we may research your request and ship your order.

So here it is 11 weeks later, nearly double what they promised and now I am
told I must wait another 3 weeks? How is that customer service? How is that
fullfilling the orders in any kind of "reasonable" time frame? I honestly
believe if I hadnt contacted them twice over the last two months I might
never receive the upgrade, after paying them for shipping too...

I'm now running Ubuntu on that laptop and have been happy with it... No
longer have any intention of installing Vista on it or any other machine at
this time...
 
Mine arrived last Thursday - three weeks and one day after the shipping
notification, so they pretty well kept to the promised timescale.

Mine arrived today from Modus. Its 2 DVD's 1 a Acer upgrade and 1
Vista upgrade. I won't be installing it though until I get Nero 7 as
Nero 6 is not compatible with vista

I've joined the list of people with problems with Moduslink> they told me the
day after they actaully cashed my cheque for the upgrade they couldn't cash
it. Now I have no money and no upgrade and my order has disappeared from the
system. No replies to my e-mails and no-one who answers the phone seems to be
able to do anything. I think Microsoft should take some responsibility for
the actions of their nominated supplier.
