final warning for moduslink and microsoft

R

Rob Eventine

hi all
my lawyer has told me to send this email to modus.. I suggest every1
else who is really fed up with them check with their own lawyer and do the
same..

can you tell me why my status has changed to order received. I have already
been told that my status was awaiting shipment?

is this another of the famous moduslink errors that are continually
being reported to Microsoft? or do I have to get the lawyers involved as the
shipment date which was promised by yourselves has been totally disregarded?

I trust it is not the latter and that my shipment will be sent out
immediately with no further signs of incompetence from moduslink...

if I have not received the disk in 7 working days ( not shipped, received )
I will start proceedings against moduslink and Microsoft for false
advertising.

thank you

apparently false advertising in the states is actually illegal just as it is
in the rest of the world.

This is a technical forum. I've never heard of a modus. Perhaps you should
post in a US group.

if you read these newsgroups regulary and see too much people having way too
many errors and strangest problems with vista ( myself included ) - why do
you want to speed the upgrade to the desaster OS called Vista.

Once you have it installed you wish back XP - you will be fascinated by the
optics, yes , this lasts about one to two weeks, after you run into said
errors you will be frustrated, and finally after seeing that you cannot use
this OS for any real productive work, you will ask for help.

As for the problems that nobody can and will help - you will revert XP .

I know people that were too fast to upgrade to vista and have no XP CD,
well..

Just a warning to you.

Maybe Moduslink wants to avoid more frustrated Upgraders and they wait for
some last-minute patch to deliver vista in a more-rtm like state. the
product we all use and have is called rtm but it isn't, its RC3 or so, if
you have a look in the Knowledgebase at Microsofts Web, and take the
undiscovered errors stated here in the ngs.

( I plan to switch to Server 2003, I have some licenses "laying around" )
Vista is only good for running in a VM under a working OS.
